Dr Kasia Murach
Chartered Clinical Psychologist, DCPsych, CPsychol, HCPC registered / Director of Psychology Station
I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Birmingham and have completed post-graduate psychotherapy trainings including a 3-year Core Training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
For a long time, my clinical focus has been on adult and older adult psychological therapy, with expertise in supporting clients with mental and physical health difficulties, long-term conditions, and cognitive or memory concerns. I worked in adult and older adult mental health clinical and health psychology services in the NHS providing assessment, ISTDP, CBT and integrative therapy, memory and cognitive assessment, training, consultation, and supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists in the region, and in private practice. After that, I moved to work in private healthcare in Bermuda. This overseas experience allowed me to shift my professional focus towards the whole spectrum of health, from unwell to healthy and thriving.
With experience in both the NHS and private sectors, in the UK and overseas, I bring a flexible, compassionate, culturally sensitive and collaborative approach to care. I have experience of culturally adapting my therapeutic interventions to reflect diverse and unique needs of each person I meet. My service is LGBTQIA+ friendly and menopause friendly. I work with a variety of conditions in a non-judgmental and empathic, yet focused way.
